The Archer in Royal Quest Online is a master of ranged combat. Using a Gun or Mortar, the Archer is a master of DPS with a side-helping of crowd control. You can lay traps, slow down your opponents, and even knock them back.

They’re a pretty useful party member too, as they can buff the entire party’s movement speed to help getting around the world or dungeons. You can also heal and reveal invisible environments.

When you advance, you can specialise as a Hunter or Sniper, doubling down on either the crowd control and support or pure DPS. Archer and its advanced classes are a great choice for those that don’t like to pigeonhole themselves into a specific role.

Royal Quest Online Archer

Here’s what the Archer offers at a glance:

  • Fights from range
  • Uses Guns and Mortars
  • Solid AoE and single target damage
  • Few DoT attacks
  • Can heal allies
  • Party movement speed buffs
  • Traps
  • Self-damage buffs
  • Lots of crowd control including slows and stuns
  • Can reveal hidden objects

The Archer is one of the best ranged damage classes in Royal Quest, specialising in single target damage. It’s no slouch in the AoE damage department either, though most of these types of attacks function in a line.

You do have a few DoT attacks, but you have to invest deep in the Talent tree to make the most of this if you’re into that sort of thing. Regardless, you have a wide range of crowd control abilities, primarily through slowing down opponents but also by stunning them.

The party support options are pretty varied, consisting of a mix of heals, movement buffs, and boosting your own damage.

You probably shouldn’t enter a dungeon without an Archer, as the class can reveal hidden objects, boosting your rewards and helping you progress faster.
