Nexon has just released The First Descendant‘s Primary Account system, which finally lets you cross save with a specific account on other platforms.
Previously, if you had played on numerous platforms and linked up your progress, you had no method of choosing which account was the primary. That meant your progress was locked to the specific platform.
Sometimes, that didn’t even work. It was all a bit of a mess, quite frankly, and we’re glad to see Nexon fixing it with this new system. Now, you simply link up all of the platforms, pick the platform you want as your primary, and wherever you login you will have the same account.
We’ve tested it across Steam and PS5 and can confirm that it works without a hitch. Here’s how to do it.
How to Set a The First Descendant Primary Account
It’s actually a very easy process. Here’s how to do it in steps:
- Visit the official The First Descendant website
- On the top right of the screen, click ‘Login’ (or view your profile if you’re already logged in)
- Scroll down until you can see ‘Please up your Primary Account’
- Click ‘Set Up’ under your desired platform
- Click ‘OK’
And that’s it. Now, wherever you login to The First Descendant you will play the same account, provided you have linked your accounts.
How to Link Your The First Descendant Account
That process has slightly changed since the Primary Account system arrived. Previously, you could link your accounts via the official website, but now you have to do so in-game.
Here’s how it works:
- Visit the official The First Descendant site
- Click ‘Login’ and create an account
- Launch The First Descendant on your desired platform
- Access the Options menu
- Select ‘Account’
- Perform the ‘Link Account’ function
If this platform isn’t your desired Primary Account, you may need to close the game down and relaunch to see your progress. That’s a one and done deal though.
