The latest World of Tanks update 1.27 patch notes are in, laying the groundwork for the festive season. It will introduce a Holiday Ops event , along with an in-game advent calendar.
Perhaps the highlight feature is the new random events, which play out on the Cliff and Siegfried Line maps. Lastly, the 2023 Well-Deserved Reward is getting extended to December 4, so grab it before it’s over.
The World of Tanks 1.27 update will arrive between November 25 – 27, depending on your timezone. It kicks off directly following a lengthy maintenance period.
Cliff and Siegfried Line Random Events
The headline feature won’t arrive until November 30: the random events on Siegfried Line and Cliff.
Cliff sees a plane crash into the centre of the map, providing new cover and adjusting the flow of battle right in the middle of a match.
Over in Siegfried Line, meanwhile, a bombing run can trigger, which completely alters the terrain. This can provide new paths and cover.
You have to enable the new random events in settings. Find ‘Maps Under Development’ and enable it.
2023 and 2024 Well Deserved Rewards
World of Tanks is increasing the amount of time you have to claim the Well-Deserved Reward: until December 4. Grab it before then, when it permanently vanishes.
Then, on December 5, you can login to get the 2024 variant. This includes bonds, credits, and various other special rewards.
3D Attachments
Update 1.27 introduces a series of 3D attachments that you can unlock, providing Rare, Epic, and Legendary tiers worth of cosmetics to customise how your vehicle looks.
The Holiday Ops event will provide a ton of these in ‘Large Boxes’.
Advent Calendar
This is a fun event. From December 1 through to December 31, you can earn a brand new reward in-game every single day. If you miss a day, you can even grab the previous day’s reward.
If you open 12 of the 31 days, you can claim a free Large Box.
When Does Update 1.27 Launch?
Update 1.27 arrives after a maintenance period in the following timezones (all of the times are in GMT):
- EU: November 27 12:30 AM to 6:30 AM
- NA: November 26 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM
- APAC: November 25 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM
