Blox Fruits Update 27.3 dropped some big changes, and one of the most hyped additions is the Nightmare Catcher which is a Mythical material tied directly to unlocking hidden abilities for the new Pain Fruit. If you’re looking to farm it (and trust me, you’ll need a bunch), here’s everything you need to know.
How To Get Nightmare Catcher in Blox Fruits
Step 1: Get to the Haunted Castle
The Nightmare Catcher only drops in the Third Sea, so don’t waste your time grinding in earlier seas. Head straight to the Haunted Castle, which is crawling with the enemies you’ll need.
Step 2: Farm Reborn Skeletons and Living Zombies
The only way to get Nightmare Catchers right now is by defeating Reborn Skeletons and Living Zombies around the Haunted Castle area. They’re not too hard if you’re endgame level, but the real problem is the drop rate because it’s low. Like, “bring your patience” low.
Step 3: Farm Smarter, Not Harder
Because you’ll be grinding for a while, the best strategy is to use fruits or fighting styles with strong AoE (Area of Effect) attacks. Something like Quake’s [V] skill can clear groups fast. It doesn’t matter how cracked your AoE is in the First Sea though Nightmare Catchers are exclusive to the Third Sea.
In short: stay in Haunted Castle, kill in waves, repeat.
Step 4: Use Nightmare Catchers at the Mysterious Scientist
Once you’ve got a decent stack, head over to the Castle on the Sea in the Third Sea. Find the Mysterious Scientist NPC. Here’s the important part:
- You need to have Pain Fruit equipped when you talk to him.
- With Nightmare Catchers and enough Fragments, you’ll unlock Pain Fruit’s hidden abilities.
However, you’ll need over 19,000 Fragments in total if you plan to unlock everything.
Step 5: Getting the Pain Fruit (If You Don’t Have It Yet)
No Pain Fruit, no quests. If you haven’t got your hands on one yet, here are your options:
- Blox Fruits Dealer rotation
- Fruit Gacha (pray for luck)
- Straight-up buy it for 2,200 Robux
Pain Fruit is required, so plan accordingly.
