New Game Mode: Gold Rush Duos
Now let’s talk about the new Gold Rush Duos game mode, coming in the next update.
- You and a friend team up in a 2 vs 2 vs 2 vs 2 match with four teams total.
- Your goal is to score as many goals as possible before time runs out.
- The gameplay is wild, fast, and chaotic. You never know who will score next.
- Work closely with your teammate while dodging attacks from the other six players.
- After every goal, the goal box changes position, so you have to stay alert.
At the end of each round, you earn a new currency called Star Tokens.
- The more goals your team scores, and the higher you place, the more tokens you receive.
- Use Star Tokens in the limited-time shop to get emotes, player cards, goal effects, and cosmetics.
King’s Skills Rework
1. Lion Chop Fight
This skill allows you to break the ankles of opponents, ragdolling them and giving you the chance to dash away quickly. It also grants a short speed boost to help you escape faster.
- It has two charges, similar to Neel Isaki.
- It works on multiple opponents, even the goalkeeper.
- This feint skill is designed to be unpredictable, just like how King uses his feints in the anime and manga.
2. King Dribble
This is a two-part skill that combines King’s old King’s Dribble and King’s Impact into one, with new animations and visual effects.
- Part 1: Perform three sharp and fast zigzag feints to cover a large distance while dodging opponents.
- Part 2 (King’s Impact): A powerful and fast shot that lets you score from far away, showing off King’s incredible shooting power.
King’s Awakening
We gave King a brand new Awakening cutscene. We were inspired by how he embraced his demons and chose his own twisted path. It looks amazing, and our devs really delivered something special.
King has three skills in Awakening:
1. King of the Jungle
This is a cutscene skill used near your opponent’s goal box, when at least one enemy is nearby.
King enters the zone, looks at his teammates and opponents, then feints around the closest one and launches a powerful shot.
During the cutscene, King’s aura fully comes to life. A lion head appears behind him, roaring as he shoots, showing how fierce and dominant he truly is.
2. Awakened King’s Dribble and Impact
This is a faster and stronger version of his base King’s Dribble and King’s Impact combo.
3. Predation
Another cutscene skill, activated when the ball is loose near the opponent’s goal box.
You rush in, steal the ball, and fire a devastating shot at the goal. This is the skill we teased in our Discord. If you missed it, now’s the time to check it out.
