Dead Rails EGGSTRAVAGANZA Challenge: All 6 Golden Egg Locations
Before you begin, make sure you have a teammate who’s a conductor or miner as they will help you get coal easily. For yourself, the Werewolf class is highly recommended. It gives you double damage at night, which is really useful when fighting through tough areas.
1 & 2. The Fort
The first two Golden Eggs are both located at the Fort.
- Golden Egg 1: As you enter the fort, go to the left behind the barracks. Clear out the zombie outlaws and grab the egg floating in the air.
- Golden Egg 2: Still in the fort, head over to the bathroom area. You’ll find the second egg inside one of the stalls.
Don’t forget to loot the armory and grab the key from Prescott to access more bonds. There’s a cannon too, but it’s not necessary for this challenge.
3. Tesla Facility
The third Golden egg is found in the Tesla facility.
- It’s located under a chair near the front door, close to the spot where you build the werewolf. You’ll hear the egg nearby, which helps in locating it.
This place can be risky, so visit it at night if possible. There’s also a werewolf head you can grab and sell for $250.
4 & 5. The Castle
Next up is the Castle, usually found around the 40,000 meter mark.
- Golden Egg 4: Located above the dining hall, tucked behind some barrels.
- Golden Egg 5: Found in a corner of the castle. You’ll hear it when you get close.
The castle is full of enemies, so bring plenty of ammo and healing items. Werewolf class is especially helpful here, especially at night when you move faster and deal more damage.
6. Sterling Mine
The final Golden egg is inside the Sterling Mine, usually found around the 60,000 to 70,000 meter mark.
- First, grab the torch from the sheriff’s building.
- Then, take it to the blocked wall at the mine entrance. Place TNT on the wall and use the torch to blow it open.
- Inside the mine, the last egg is in a tipped-over mine cart.
Stay alert here. This area can be dangerous with skeletons and explosive enemies. Grab all the loot you can, especially bonds, and be careful not to get cornered.
