Update: Team Jade and TiMi Studio Group have officially announced that Delta Force is coming back a heck of a lot sooner than we thought: December 5. The date is even listed on Steam.
That’s the official release of the open beta, which is basically a launch. Huzzah!
The first season of Delta, Genesis, will also kick off on December 5, and will introduce a new Operator, two new modes, additional weapons, and a vehicle. That’s alongside tweaks to the UI, mechanics, servers, and additional languages.
Original story follows.
Original: Just as we were starting to get good at Delta Force, we learn that TiMi Studio Group and Team Jade will shut down the servers tomorrow, October 22. It’s not for good though. This was always a playtest to celebrate Steam Next Fest. Still, we’re gutted.
When Will the Delta Force Servers Shut Down?
The servers will officially shut down on October 22 at 3:00 AM UTC. That gives you mere hours to dive back in and shoot people before the long wait for global launch. Sniff.

What is Delta Force?
If you missed the Steam Next Fest playtest, Delta Force is an upcoming free to play shooter. It’s the latest in the series, which has a 25 history.
It features a variety of single player and multiplayer modes. The former takes place in two timeframes: 1993 during Black Hawk Down and 2035 during a fictional assault with the Haavk Corporation.
It provides the perfect sandbox to shoot weapons, use gadgets, and battle alongside your squad mates as you strive to control the battlefield.

How About the Delta Force Multiplayer?
Once you’re confident in your abilities, you can head into multiplayer, which plays like a combination of Call of Duty and Battlefield. There are a wide variety of modes, which see you fight across land, sea, and air with a variety of weapons and vehicles.
You can fully customise your weapons and vehicles, all of which draw inspiration from their real-life counterparts. This allows you to tweak them to match your desired play style.
Overall though, Delta Force is a visually-stunning experience that’s set to give the best in the genre a run for its money. Keep tuned to Free to Player and we’ll let you know as soon as we know more about that elusive Delta Force release date.
