The long rumoured Destiny Mobile has finally been unveiled, and it’s about freaking time. We first heard rumblings about this all the way back in 2021.
Now, a whopping three years later we’ve finally saw Destiny Rising, its full title, in action. Check out the new trailer released just below.
Destiny Rising is the first game in the series not developed by Bungie. Instead, NetEase, the folks behind Diablo Immortal, Once Human, and the upcoming Marvel Rivals have been given the task. It’s safe to say the developer and publisher has plenty of experience in the mobile space.
You Can Swap Between First and Third Person?
As you can see in the trailer, Destiny Rising is an RPG shooter that will allow you to switch between first and third person combat and looks to keep a lot of the same style and finesse of the Bungie titles.
It takes place in the same universe as the main series but branches off, following an altered timeline that takes place in the post-Dark Age era (this took place after Destiny’s Golden age). You can expect to see familiar characters and locations along with plenty of new stuff, which will be exciting to see.

Rising looks to be keeping true to the Destiny formula with single player, co-op, and competitive multiplayer modes. There will also be all new game modes included, and we’re interested to see what NetEase can come up with here given with their experience in the mobile space.
When Does the Closed Alpha Take Place?
NetEase also announced the date of the closed alpha which will take place on November 1, but unfortunately we don’t have a full release date as of yet.
We’re definitely excited to see more and hope NetEase can follow up with more news soon. We will be sure to keep an eye on this one and will keep you posted on any further updates.

In the meantime, check out the official site. It’s light on information but it does have a bunch of concept art. It also includes a link to sign up for pre-registration.
