On the lookout for the best base locations in Dune Awakening? Finding the perfect location for your base on Arrakis is the most important thing.
In Dune: Awakening, the top spots to build your base are Hagga Basin, Jabal Eifrit, Eastern Shield Wall, and Hagga Rift, since they are safe, have resources, and have options for trading.
Below you will find the best spots to start in the Dune Awakening desert.
Best Base Locations in Dune Awakening

Hagga Basin South
The place below Griffin’s Reach Tradepost is ideal for new players. Stay away from sandworms by building on rocky land, which is just a short distance from the vendors and contract boards.
Nearby you’ll find caves, a shipwreck, and an Imperial Testing Station, which give you copper, granite, and fuel cells.
Although the area is crowded at first, players can easily get water and common materials from the scavenger camps. Make a 3×3 base at the start to save your resources for future actions.
Jabal Eifrit Al-Janub
After you open Vermillius Gap, go to Jabal Eifrit Al-Janub to set up a base that will serve you well in the mid- to late-game.
There are many resources in this area, such as carbon ore, copper, aluminum, and primrose flowerfields for crafting.
If you build in the area of an Imperial Testing Station or shipwreck, you’ll have a good chance of finding rare items, and the tradepost is not far away.
The rocky cliffs keep the area safe from worms and storms, and the central spot is perfect for guild outposts. You can farm easily since the resources are conveniently located nearby.

Eastern Shield Wall
Station No. 17, is a great place to be late in the game. This place has a lot of fuel, aluminum, copper, granite, and carbon nodes.
Build your base on a hill to protect it and mine the nearby mountains for more supplies.
It’s an excellent choice for clans since the area is so full of resources. Nevertheless, this place is not for beginners, so you’ll have to use a sandbike to reach it.
Hagga Rift
If you want Cobalt Paste, go to the Erythrite Crystal bunker in the trench of Hagga Rift.
Mid-game players will find this place useful, as there are many crystals for crafting and some copper and salvage metal too.
Although the bunker is limited, its special resources make it worthwhile to have a small outpost there.
Points To Remember
- Build on Rocks: Sandworms destroy bases on sand, so stick to cliffs or rocky flats.
- Start Small: A 3×4 base in Hagga Basin saves resources for bigger builds later.
- Shield Up: Power your base with a generator to block storms and raids.
- Scout First: Use a sandbike to check resource nodes before committing.
- Pay Taxes: Keep up with Imperial taxes via the Sub-Fief Console to avoid Sardaukar attacks.
