Wondering how to unlock Trooper in Dune Awakening? Trooper is one of the many playable classes in the game which is locked by default. To unlock it, you have to speak with the Trooper Trainer NPC but it isn’t as easy as it may sound.
Therefore, here’s a detailed guide on how to unlock Trooper in Dune Awakening along with its trainer location.
How To Get Trooper Class in Dune Awakening

Step 1: Get to Ghavouri at Griffin’s Reach Tradepost
First of all, head to Griffin’s Reach Tradepost in the South Hagga Basin. That’s where Ghavouri, the Trooper Trainer, hangs out. Walk in, look to your left, and boom, there he is. You really can’t miss him.
This first quest is Proving Grounds. It’s short and sweet: assassinate three targets, come back, and you’re done. Easy XP, easy unlock. This is worth doing early since it gives you access to Shigawire Cable, which is pretty much the best movement skill in the game.
Step 2: Head to Araen for the Advanced Trainer
Now it gets a bit more involved. You’ll want an ornithopter to make your life easier. Technically you can pay 2,500 Solari at a trade post to fly to new zones, but that’s not ideal. So, hop in your thopter and head to Araen.
Once you’re in Araen, head toward the top of the stairs and wrap around to meet Caraval, your advanced trainer. She’s got a bit of a… situation.
Step 3: Take Control
Caraval’s not doing so hot because she’s deep in addiction. Your job is to help her out. First, fly to The Sweep near East Vermillius. Land right on top of the outpost, head inside, and grab the book in the top room.
Once you read it, two heavies will ambush you. Take them out, loot their bodies for the items you need, and fly back to Caraval. Done.
Step 4: Regaining Control
Now things get interesting. You’ll need a handheld scanner for this but not the vehicle one. If you don’t have one, you’ll be stuck. Caraval sends you to Harkco Village to talk to the bartender and ask for “Karan Brandy.” That kicks off your hunt for a guy named Tuco.
Fly out to Tuco’s Stash (around 1:00 on the clock). Use your scanner there to track footprints, then follow them to Mineral Facility No. 6. Inside, you’ll find Tuco but in the dead state, unfortunately. But now you’ve got what you need to return to Caraval.
Step 5: A Shot at Improving
Head back to Harkco Village and meet with Kamari, the souk doctor, upstairs. After some chat, head down to the bartender again and give the brandy code. This sends you west to Taqua’s Watch.
This place is no joke. It’s high-level. Drop in, kill a few enemies (especially the leader), and return to Kamari. She’ll give you what you need. Fly back to Araen and deliver the goods to Caraval. She’s finally getting her act together.
Step 6: Master of Weapons
This one’s pretty easy. Caraval wants you to try out three different skills: Assault Seeker, Tractor Fields, and Gravity Fields. Just equip them, fly into the desert, and shoot them at the ground. You don’t need to hit anything. After you’ve done all three, head back to Caraval. Boom, done.
You’ll unlock Suspensor Blast from this which is a solid addition to your arsenal.
Step 7: Surgical Strike
Fly out near The Sweep again to a spot called Kadir Shadow. Land on the top deck, kill four slavers, grab some documents, and that’s it. Quick in, quick out. Return to Araen.
Step 8: The Final Step – Cleansing of Caraval
One last ride. You’ll need to talk to Campos Tamari, just downstairs from Caraval. He’ll ask for 4,000 Solari to arrange her transport. Pay up, then go let Caraval know the ride’s ready.
Now head out to a dead drop location (fly in from 3:00) and then back to Kadir Shadow. This time, you’re facing a boss. He hits hard, so be ready. Once he’s down, loot up and fly back to Araen.
Caraval’s not up on the balcony anymore. Therefore, head downstairs to find her looking clean and sharp in a new uniform.
