eFootball is introducing legendary players like Xabio Alonso and Patrick Viera in a brand new National Guardians update. As you can expect, these make up some of the best players eFootball has to offer, with scores of up to 100. Madness.
Not only that, but these players have a Booster Slot, which allows you to customise their abilities. Doing so costs Booster Tokens, but allows you to tweak their Player Stats to help them specialise in certain roles.

What Are eFootball National Guardians?
National Guardian players come in two different forms: Epic and Highlight. Epic are legendary players that have long since retired, and have their very own Player Skill, Booster Slot, and ridiculously high scores.
Highlight players, meanwhile, represent currently active players at a standout point in their career. They feature unique card designs, Booster Slots, and have different (often higher) stats than their Standard variants.
You can develop both of these card types to further enhance them. Check out a bunch of these players in action via the official trailer below, and learn more about the update on the official eFootball site.
Efootball Update 4.1.1 Patch Notes
In other news, eFootball just put out update 4.1.1, a small update that fixes delayed responses during PvP. To compensate for the maintenance downtime, eFootball provided all players with a Skill Training Program.
This follows update 4.1.0 earlier in October, which introduced a ton more fixes. This included quality of life measures, like limiting how many times you could select thrower and kicker during set pieces. Previously, players were abusing this to draw out matches and frustrate the opposition.
It also introduced updated rosters so your teams were updated for the new seasons. This includes new strips, club leagues, and competition emblems. You may even hear new commentary, as well as spot updated cinematics and animations. It all adds up to feeling like a whole new eFootball experience.
