Want to unlock everything new in the Blue Moon update in Fisch? It’s a small update that involves a number of new quests, a brand new bestiary and a few minor other changes.

Below, we’ve compiled a comprehensive guide on how to unlock everything new in the Fisch Blue Moon update.

How To Complete the Blue Moon Update in Fisch

New Quests

The game is divided into areas called Sea 1 and Sea 2. In Sea 1, there are three quests available. In Sea 2, you will find five quests. There is also a new bait in Sea 2 that is not considered one of the quests. Overall, there are eight quests you need to complete on the map. Even if you do not plan to finish all of them, it is useful to know where they are located.

The Blue Moon Event

The blue moon event is the main focus of this update. This event only appears during winter nights. There is a special totem that starts the blue moon event. The blue moon totem was located in Lush Grove in the Sea 2 area during our playthrough.

However, the location of the totem may change in the final game. If you do not want to use the totem, you can try to spawn the event on a winter night by repeatedly using a sundial.

After you start the event, special gates or bunkers will open. One is located in Sea 1 at Snow Cap and another is in Sea 2 at Lush Grove. When you enter these gates, you will see a new bestiary for sea fish. There are two different bestiaries. One bestiary has a secret tier with moon idols.

These idols give you a long boost that lasts 24 hours. The boost provides blue particles around your player, extra XP from every fish, a chance to double the weight of any fish and a small chance to receive a moonissed mutation that has a minor boost to value.

Rewards

The blue moon event is a great way to gain lots of XP and level up quickly. For example, catching a mythical fish will give you more than 33,000 XP. Even if you are catching common or unusual fish, you can still move from a level of 765 to 766 with ease. In addition to XP gains, the quests will give you rewards like money, Kraken tentacles, and occasionally boosts to your levels.
