How to Get the Doomsday Mutation in Fisch
You can only catch fish with the Doomsday mutation while participating in the new Fisch Ashfall event. This takes place by the Roslit Volcano, where a brand new volcanic eruption event known as ‘Ashfall’ takes place.
We’ve put together a complete guide that you can read, linked above, but, in short, you can catch fish with the Doomsday mutation by fishing in the lava while the event is active. It’s the same method you use to fill out your Ashfall Bestiary.
What the Doomsday Mutation Does
The Doomsday Mutation works the same way as many of the other Mutations in Fisch, in that it boosts the value of fish you catch.
It sets in the upper end of the Mutations list, alongside Aureate, Greedy, Nuclear, Revitalized, and Sunken. Basically, a fish caught with the Doomsday Mutation has 4x the value of the same fish caught without it.
Can I Only Catch it at the Ashfall Event?
Actually, there is one exception to this rule: Coelacanths always have a chance to feature the Doomsday Mutation, no matter the location you catch them in.
