However, obtaining Amulet isn’t easy, as you have to complete a quest called Dead Man’s Tale. So if you’re having a hard time, here’s how you can finish the Dead Man’s Tale quest and obtain the amulet in Fisch.
How To Complete Dead Man’s Tale Quest and Unlock Amulet in Fisch
The only way to unlock Amulet is by completing the Dead Man’s Tale quest. Here are the steps that you have to follow:
Step 1: Travel to Grand Reef
- Start from Moosewood.
- Make your way to the Grand Reef in the Second Sea.
- Use a boat to travel there.
Step 2: Locate the Amulet
- Once at Grand Reef, search for a sunken ship or nearby island.
- The amulet will be somewhere on or near the ship.
- When you get close, you’ll see an option to pick it up (“Take the Amulet”).
Step 3: Bring the Amulet to Dead Man Joe
- After picking up the amulet, head to Terapin Island.
- Find the NPC named Dead Man Joe.
- Equip the amulet and interact with him.
- Once handed over, a message will confirm that the amulet blocks decay.
How To Use Amulet in Fisch
Without Amulet in Fisch, you won’t be able to survive the poisonous gas in the Oscar’s Locker. You will find Oscar’s locker at the very end of an underwater cave.
To get there, enter a submarine and travel to the water exit at the north end of The Cursed Shores (GPS: -435, -40, 1665). The path is sort of like the tunnel in Mariana’s Veil but it ends in this huge treasure-filled room.
Big thing to note here: you need the amulet to live through the main chamber. If you don’t have it equipped, a decay bar comes up, and yeah… you’re dead in 2 seconds.
Also, there’s a small room to the southeast containing the Great Rod of Oscar, and it won’t even open unless you have the amulet on.
