How To Unlock Fisch Mega Token

To obtain the Fisch Mega Token, you must complete the Cthulhu’s Head Quest. You can only access this quest once collect all 24 previous Mega Tokens.

Starting the Cthulhu’s Head Quest

Once the condition is met, speak with the Dreamers Eye NPC at Moosewood island which will assign you the Cthulhu’s Head Quest.

The primary objective of this quest is to go to Terrapin Island and open the gate to the Crypt of the Green One, where they could then access a maze and a fish puzzle before completing the quest.

Crypt of the Green One Location

The Crypt of the Green One is a hidden network of underground tunnels that you can access from a vault-like entrance on Terrapin Island.

It was the site of Fisch’s Mega Token in The Hunt: Mega Edition. The entrance, found on the western side of Terrapin Island at GPS coordinates 130, 150, 2040, features a large vault door and three pillars with engraved symbols.

Crypt of the Green One Entrance Puzzle Solution

As you approach, you can rotate each of the three segments on the pillars to face a specific direction. Once you turn the first segment, you have 45 seconds to finish rotating all the segments before the puzzle resets. If you have not collected all 24 previous Mega Tokens from the event, you will not be able to turn the pillars and open the crypt.

Main Area

In the main area, the left path leads to the Mega Token puzzle while the right one goes nowhere. You can even try fishing in the water to catch some unique species from the Crypt of the Green One bestiary, but only if you’re using a Flimsy Rod. Using any other rod will just land you rocks.

Mega Token Puzzle Solution

When you take the left tunnel, a cutscene plays showing you jumping down a big hole into a maze. You have to make it through the maze before a poison bar fills up, which usually takes about 60 seconds.

It’s a good idea to wear the Glimmersuit Boots to make your way through, although they’re not a must. If you run out of time and the poison bar fills up, you’ll die and start over at the maze’s entrance.

At the end of the maze, you’ll find a chamber with a large door at the back that has eight slots for fish. Every fish from the bestiary has to go into the right slot in the right order to open the door.

A timer above the door tells you when the puzzle will reset, so you need to figure out the correct order fast. To get the order, follow a tunnel to the right and listen to the Melody of Cthulhu, which gives you the sequence of musical notes.

Getting the Mega Token

There’s a device in the middle of the chamber that lets you use any Crypt of the Green One fish to produce a note. Once you place all eight fish in the correct order, the door opens and reveals the Mega Token inside.

Just keep in mind that you’ll still need to head back to The Dreamers Eye to claim the token. If you mess up the order, you’ll get a Curse debuff for 15 minutes that makes you emit dark particles, but it doesn’t do anything else.
