It’s been a while since Fortnite treated us all with a free iconic skin and yes, that sucks. But the wait is finally over now as Epic Games is handing out the First Order Stormtrooper costume for free, and the great thing is that no purchase is required to get it.
All you have to do to claim the skin is link your Disney+ and Epic Games accounts. We know that’s pretty easy but still there are a lot of players who don’t know how to get started.
Those users can begin by either making or signing in to their Disney+ account. Then, login to Epic Games account through a web browser.
Go to your account settings, Apps & Accounts and link your Disney+ account. After verifying the account link, open Fortnite via the Epic Games Store. From there you can then claim the First Order Stormtrooper outfit which also comes with a LEGO Fortnite variant.
Also, you should not log into Epic using your Disney+ login credentials. If the skin doesn’t show up, verify that your Epic account page has the accounts correctly linked. The offer is live now, but you’ll have to hurry because the deadline to get the skin is August 31 at 11 PM CT.
In addition to the Stormtrooper skin, Fortnite is also commemorating the upcoming Tales of the Empire animated series by giving players a free Asajj Ventress-themed loading screen.
On May 2 at 9 AM CT, players can access the Star Wars Watch Party island using the code 2124-6713-8076.
By watching the first two episodes of the new Tales of the Empire series on the island, players will get the loading screen within 72 hours. The island will be live until May 11, so players have a lot of time to jump in and join in.
