In a wonderful (or cynical) move, Fortnite is introducing a new Simultaneous Pass Progression feature throughout November and December. This means, regardless of what you do in Fortnite, you will progress the Battle, Music, and LEGO Passes simultaneously.
That’s actually how it currently works for the Battle Royale Battle Pass, and Epic wants to make all of them function the same.
Fortnite’s Simultaneous Pass Progression Kicks Off On November 6
The Music Pass is next up to get this treatment on November 6. You might know this better as the Festival Pass, but, either way, any XP you gain from playing Fortnite in any mode will progress the pass. This will apply to the current Fortnite Festival Season 6.
Then, on December 1, Fortnite will roll out the change for the Brick or Treat LEGO Pass. In fact, Battle Pass, Music, and LEGO Pass will just become a single reward track with free and premium rewards as usual.

All Passes Will Now Progress Via XP
Also, as you may have gathered at this point, all passes will now progress solely from XP. That means Festival Points, Battle Stars, and Studs are all a thing of the past from December 1.
That means all you have to do is earn XP in Fortnite from that point forward to earn rewards across all three modes. This is where things get a bit sucky though: the free tracks will remain free, but you have to purchase each pass separately to grab the rewards.
Helpful or Cynical? You Decide
Therein lies the evil genius behind the change. If it’s easier to progress all three tracks at once, you’re more inclined to purchase all three passes to grab the premium rewards sitting there unclaimed.
There is one nice quality of life change though: if you want a specific reward but don’t want to earn it, you can simply purchase it directly. You don’t even have to buy the missing levels as before, you just purchase the reward.
Overall, while this is likely a cynical move on Epic’s part to get you to spend a bit more cash, the reality is that Fortnite is still making it easier for you to progress down multiple tracks and earn more free rewards.
