Fruit Battlegrounds just received it’s highly anticipated update 20 content drop, which introduces new Fruit to the mix, as well as a brand new Rebirth system. There’s also the obligatory new Fruit Battlegrounds codes to celebrate.
Alongside the new additions, there are a ton of balance changes, tweaks, and fixes to help make the experience a lot smoother. Let’s take a look at it in a lot more detail.
Leopard V2 is Finally Here
The headline feature of this update is Leopard V2, the evolved form of the original Leopard Fruit. It’s a Mythical, which means that the OG Leopard drops down to Legendary status.
We’ve already ranked it in our Fruit Battlegrounds tier list after testing it in beta. Spoiler alert: it’s powerful and a heck of a lot of fun to play.
Expect an awesome new transformation and abilities that focus on fast-paced attacks, stuns, and AoE chaos.
Snow Fruit Joins the Fray
The latest new Fruit in Fruit Battlegrounds is Snow Fruit, an Epic rarity Fruit with a 0.96% chance to drop when you reroll your Fruit.
Let’s take a quick look at Snow Fruits abilities.
Skill | Details |
---|---|
Snow Angel | Summons wings that rapidly shoot snowballs |
Winter Storm | Summon a snowstorm that prevents your enemy from taking actions while inside If opponents remain in it too long, it freezes |
Frost Dome | Summon an igloo that provides you with 50% damage reduction and hyper armour Hold it to increase the size of the igloo |
Snowball Catastrophe | Turn into a snowball and roll over enemies to trap them inside it, dealing damage at the end with a big explosion Hold it down to maintain the ability |
Snow Drift | Turn into a snowstorm and fly around |
The Rebirth System Helps You Get a Mythical
If you’ve struggled to get a Mythical, the development team has finally put together a solution: Rebirth.
The Rebirth system allows you to evolve a Fruit to a higher tier. For example, if you have a Legendary Fruit you can evolve it into a random Mythical.
There are some caveats though: you can’t get a V2 Fruit via this method, so you will have to hope for the V1 variant so you can evolve it.
To evolve a fruit, visit the new NPC in Wano and pay them gems to swap to a higher Fruit rarity:
Evolve To | Cost |
---|---|
Uncommon | 250 Gems |
Rare | 500 Gems |
Epic | 2,500 Gems |
Legendary | 10,000 Gems |
Mythic | 25,000 Gems |
