Grow a Garden Pets Aging and Feeding Explained
Age
Experience points (XP) are what make your pet’s age increase. It becomes more difficult for your pet to age as it gets older. As your pet grows older, its cooldowns are shortened, its odds of success improve and it receives other helpful perks.
If your pet’s hunger is completely empty, it will not age. You can view your pet’s age by clicking on it and choosing “view,” or by picking it up and looking in your inventory.
Hunger and Feeding
Hunger matters because your pet needs food to live and age properly. If your pet’s hunger bar goes down to 0, their aging process will stop. To give your pet food, open your inventory, select any fruit or crop and stand next to your pet.
After that, you can either press the pet and choose “Feed” or hold the interact button when nearby. After feeding, you will notice a message that tells you the percentage of hunger you have recovered.
The amount of hunger you restore depends on the type of fruit you feed. Pets’ hunger depends on how rare they are. If your device allows it, you can check your pet’s hunger by clicking “view” or by hovering your mouse over the pet.
