If you’ve been grinding Grow a Garden and you’re tired of waiting hours just to hatch mid-tier pets, the ostrich glitch is basically a cheat code. Done right, it lets you hatch pets instantly, and not just baby pets either, I’m talking level 99 out of the gate. Yeah, it sounds fake, but trust me, people are pulling it off.

Here’s how Ostrich Glitch works in Grow a Garden.

How To Do the Ostrich Glitch in Grow a Garden

To do the Ostrich glitch in Grow a Garden, you need a bunch of ostriches (16 is the magic number, but you can get away with fewer, 16 just gives the best results).

You will also need trading ticket and finally, either a friend or an alt account to trade with.

Also, do yourself a favor and favorite the wrong ostriches (the ones with hunger), so you don’t mix them up with the zero hunger ones. Because if you mix them, the glitch falls apart and you’ll just be wasting time.

Step 1: Set Up Slot One

Equip eight ostriches with zero hunger in pet slot one. This is your base setup. If you don’t have enough with zero hunger, the glitch won’t really trigger properly, so don’t skip this.

Step 2: Start a Trade

Send a trade request to your friend (or your alt). While the trade window’s open, switch to slot two. That’ll unequip the ostriches from slot one. Now add those unfavorited ostriches (the zero hunger ones) into the trade.

However, before you accept the trade, switch back to slot one. When you do this, the game thinks your slot one ostriches are still active, even though they’re being traded away. Then accept the trade. Boom, now they exist in two states at once.

Step 3: Trade Them Back

Get your ostriches back from your alt/friend. Then move to slot two and equip the other half of your team, the hungry ostriches this time.

Now you’ve basically got two squads of ostriches active at the same time: the zero hunger ones from slot one, and the hungry ones from slot two. The game… has no idea how to process this.

Step 4: Hatch Eggs

Finally, go hatch eggs. The game thinks you’ve got all 16 ostriches running at once, so when you hatch, it spits out pets at level 99 instantly. Like, full-blown endgame pets without the grind. It’s ridiculous.
