The Sungod Weather Event in Grow a Garden is a rare and powerful in-game event that gives players access to one of the most unique mutations available: the Dawnbound Mutation. Although this event is not always active, it’s important to be prepared for it when it returns.
Here’s a full Grow a Garden guide on how to activate the event and unlock the Dawnbound Mutation.
How To Get Sungod Weather Event in Grow a Garden
The Sungod Weather Event is a special limited-time occurrence that tends to show up randomly in the game. As a result, there’s nothing you can do to trigger it instead of waiting in the game.
During the event, a giant monkey-shaped Sun God appears in the garden, typically in the same area where the DJ character is normally found. This appearance is triggered by Jandel, the game’s developer.
When the Sungod is active, it can apply a rare mutation to nearby fruit called Dawnbound.
How to Get the Dawnbound Mutation in Grow a Garden
To unlock the Dawnbound Mutation during the Sungod Event, follow these steps:
- Wait for the Event to Go Live
The Sungod Event is not always active. Keep an eye on announcements or check in before major game updates, as this is when the event typically occurs. - Gather at the DJ Area
Once the event is active, head to the area where the DJ usually stands. This is where the Sun God will appear. - Bring a Sunflower
Equip a Sunflower in your inventory. This item is key to triggering the mutation. - Coordinate with Other Players
Make sure at least four players (including yourself) are holding Sunflowers at the same time in the DJ area near Jandel. The more coordinated you are, the higher the chance of the Dawnbound Mutation being applied. - Receive the Mutation
If the requirements are met, the Sun God will bless nearby fruits with the Dawnbound Mutation. This effect is temporary and only works while the event is active.
