Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced is almost finally here on PC, nearly three whole years after its arrival on PS5 and Xbox Series consoles. We know you’re not the biggest fan of PC, Rockstar, but come on!

If you’re absolutely sick of waiting, we have some good news for you: pre-load is available right now on PC, allowing you to install the upgrades ahead of their arrival on March 4, 2025. That means you won’t have to wait and can jump in the moment Rockstar unlocks it.

What’s GTA V Enhanced?

As the name suggests, GTA V Enhanced is an upgraded version of the latest Grand Theft Auto for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and, soon, PC.

It features visual improvements, including ray tracing, ambient occlusion, global illumination, and support for upscaling technologies like FSR and DLSS.

You can also feel and hear the improvements, thanks to faster loading times, support for next gen controllers like the DualSense, and Dolby Atmos support for a better soundscape.

Heck, there’s even room for brand new content across story mode and the wildly popular GTA Online. This includes new vehicles and upgrades and the ability to take on a career, including Nightclub Owner, Executive, or Gunrunner.

When Does GTA V Enhanced Launch on PC?

GTA V Enhanced launches on March 4, 2025 for PC. You can pre-load it right now to get right into the action the moment it appears.

Pre-loading allows you to download all of the necessary files, but also to migrate your Story Mode progress and GTA Online character, so you can pick up from where you left off the moment it arrives.

The OG version of GTA V, which now goes by the name GTA V Legacy, still exists and will continue to receive support by Rockstar. That will prove useful to those of you on hardware that doesn’t support the Enhanced, err, enhancements.

You can pre-load GTA V Enhanced on Steam right now.
