The Servants of Freedom Warbond update is officially here for Helldivers 2, bringing a number of new weapons to the game. As is tradition, each weapon is made specifically for certain situations and understanding its characteristics is crucial to knowing when to use it.
Therefore, we’ve put together this detailed overview of the new weapons in the Helldivers 2 Servants of Freedom Warbond update.
Helldivers 2 Servants of Freedom Warbond New Weapons Overview
Las7 Double-Edge Sickle

First up is the Las7 Double-Edge Sickle which is a powerful weapon that lets you shoot endlessly without overheating, but with a catch: the more you fire, the more it damages you, eventually setting you on fire.
The most surprising part is that the Las7 Double-Edge Sickle deals more damage once it’s overheated but keep in mind that this extra temperature will also negatively affect you if you don’t wear the flame-resistant armor.
It’s great for melting through enemies, but if you get hit by anything, you’re basically dead, so it’s only good if you’re in a safe position and can keep track of your health.
GP-31 Ultimatum

GP31 Ultimatum is one of the most powerful one shot pistols in the game loaded with explosive projectiles. The downside is that its range is short, and if you’re not careful, you might end up blowing yourself up with the huge explosions.
Combat Hatchet

The Servants of Freedom Warbond update also introduced a new melee weapon called the Combat Hatchet. It’s a heavy-hitting one-handed axe, but its damage isn’t very impressive unless you pair it with the Peak Physique armor, which boosts melee damage. It’s most effective against the Illuminate, but against other enemies, it’s just okay. It’s fun if you like melee combat, especially when paired with a ballistic shield for extra defense, but it’s not a must-have.
New Armor Passive
There’s also a new armor passive called Hellbent, which causes your armor to explode 1.5 seconds after you die. This can take out a bunch of enemies with you, but it’s not the most useful passive compared to others that increase your defense or damage. It’s fun in a “suicide bomber” kind of way, but overall, not the most practical choice.
G-50 Seeker

The Seeker Grenade is a new explosive gadget that flies towards enemies once pinged, but its targeting is pretty bad, often going after the wrong enemies. It does decent damage but can be frustrating because it doesn’t always follow your command, especially in crowded situations. It might get a bit better with the right armor, but it’s still not the most reliable.
B-100 Portable Hellbomb
If you need to clear out an area fast, the Portable Hellbomb is your go-to. You or your teammates can set it off, which makes it super versatile. Just don’t get too close when it blows, or you’ll be part of the explosion!
