If you’ve played Ink Game for more than five minutes, you know how stressful it can get. Running, hiding, praying you don’t get sniped during Red Light Green Light… it’s intense. But now there’s a way to stop running and start calling the shots. Guards are finally playable, and it’s one of the most fun updates the game has had in a while.

Here’s how you can become a guard in Ink Game.

How To Join the Guard Team in Ink Game

Step 1: Make Sure You Can Afford It

Joining as a Guard isn’t free. First, open Ink Game like normal. Then check if you’ve got enough Won or Robux.

You’ve got a couple options here:

  • 325 million Won if you just want to try being a Guard for one session. If you AFK farm, you earn 5 million every 15 minutes, so this might take a while unless you’ve been playing a lot.
  • 799 Robux for a permanent Guard pass. This one is nice if you think you’ll play Guard more than once because you won’t have to buy it again.
  • 499 Robux for the Private Server Commands pass. This is good if you want to host your own server or play with friends and control who gets to be a Guard.

Step 2: Buy the Access

Once you’ve decided how you want to pay, go to the Store in the lobby. Look for the Guard Pass or Playable Guard option.

Spend the Won, buy the pass with Robux, or get the private server commands if you’re going that route. After that, you’re ready to actually sign up in a match.

Step 3: Volunteer When the Game Starts

When you load into a round, wait until the game picks the contestants. If you have Guard access, you’ll get a pop-up asking if you want to be a Guard.

Click it fast. There are only eight spots and they go quick. If you make it in, you’ll spawn in the Guard area which is way nicer than the players’ dorm. From there, you gear up and wait for the first challenge.

Step 4: Do Your Job

Once you’re in, you’re not just there to look cool. Your job is to keep everyone in line.

  • In Red Light Green Light, get on the sniper and pick off anyone who moves. It usually takes three hits to drop them.
  • During Dalgona or Hide and Seek, keep an eye out for cheaters and take them out.
  • When the Rebel ending happens, that’s your moment. You get five lives and your job is to protect the Frontman while players try to break in. Expect total chaos here. Grenades and knives come in clutch.
  • For rounds like Lights Out or Jump Rope, you just hang back and watch.
