Riot Games is going the extra mile to celebrate season two of Arcane, the Netflix animated series that takes place in the League universe. Not only do we have a new skin for Jinx in League of Legends, but it exists in a whole new tier of skins. But don’t too excited just yet.
That new tier is known as Exalted, and it’s going to be expensive. Riot describes it as a “luxury good”. In fact, let’s just let them explain what the fuss is all about.
Exalted skins are for players who want hyper-exclusive skins. Exalted skins are what happen when we let our teams cook, pushing our design and tech capabilities to make the best possible skin for each champion’s unique fantasy within a specific theme.
Riot is keen to point out that the lower tiers of skins will still arrive, and that it doesn’t actually expect to sell a ton of the rarer variants (Transcendent, Mythic, and now Exalted) given how expensive they are. Think of them as collector’s items.

What’s the First League of Legends Exalted Skin?
The first Exalted skin is for Jinx, and you can get a taste of it in our image above. It features fancy new animations, whole new VO, and it swaps between two different models whenever you play a slot-machine mechanic or pull off a powerful attack.
Riot also wants Jinx’s Exalted skin to “reflect some of her experiences from Season One and some from Season Two (of Arcane).” We’ll learn more when the skin arrives at a later date.
How Much do Exalted Skins Cost?
Here’s where things get a little bit dicey. You can’t actually pony up to get the Exalted skin of your choice. Instead, you get it via a gacha system that League of Legends is referring to as the ‘Sanctum’.
Here, you spend 400 RP to purchase an Ancient Spark, which allows you one draw from the Sanctum. You then either get Exalted Jinx (she has a 0.5% drop rate so don’t hold your breath) or you get something else.
There’s a pity system, similar to Genshin Impact’s, where you are guaranteed to get Exalted Jinx after 80 pulls. That requires around 32,000 RP. We’ve done the maths and that is going to set you back a whopping $250. For one skin.
What Else is Included in the Sanctum Pool?
Riot Games is introducing three tiers of rewards in Sanctum, each of which have their own drop rate.
The best offering will be the new Exalted skins, which will likely arrive as part of a banner system and disappear once it ends. You have a 0.5% drop rate for these.
The rest including skins, paragon chromas, and exclusive banner drops. These have a drop rate of 10% and Riot will likely showcase these on the banner.
Finally, we’ve got Mythic Essence, a random emote, and random icons. These make up the vast majority of drops at 89.5% of the drop rate.
Mythic Shop Changes and Nexus Finishers
Alongside the new Sanctum feature, Riot is also adding new content to the Mythic Shop. This includes Legacy skins, event chromas, and emotes from previous events. Some stuff will always remain exclusive, but it’s nice to see that we’ll get a second chance at grabbing others.
Nexus Finishers, meanwhile, are a whole new type of item coming to the Mythic Shop. These are cosmetic items that will change the animation that previously played when you destroyed the Nexus, winning the match.
It won’t play the animation from the player who gets the final hit though. Rather, it takes one at random from the winning team.
The first is themed on Jinx in Arcane, like the Exalted Skin, and will cost 250 ME while the event runs. Learn more about all of the above on the official League of Legends site.
