Though it feels like January was last week, we’re somehow rapidly approaching 2025. That means a whole new PUBG esports tournament roadmap, with a ton more tournaments for you to watch or participate in depending on your preference/ability.

2025 looks set to offer the exact same series of tournaments that 2024 did. That’s six global competitions with two regional series in between, all culminating in the prestigious PUBG Global Championship in December 2025.

How do PUBG Esports Tournaments Work?

Each tournament features 24 teams, 10 of which are Global Partner Teams and 14 of which will qualify during the Regional Series we mentioned earlier. These are held in China, Korea, EMEA, APAC, and the Americas.

Here’s how the seeds are distributed:

  • China: Two
  • Korea: Three
  • EMEA: Two
  • APAC: Four
  • Americas: Three

If you’re more into calendars, let’s take a look at the full lineup in that format, complete with the remainder of this year.

What’s Going on in the World of PUBG?

The PAS4 Grand Finals concluded this weekend, taking place between October 4-6. That’s the latest tournament, with PGS 5 and 6 still to take place during the final months of the year.

In non-esports related news, Krafton announced a big server merge across PC and console. Effectively, the Asian, SEA, and America servers were all combined, rather than Oceania, South America, and Korea and Japan having separate servers.

The merge will take place during the October update, but it shouldn’t affect any of your stuff or the game modes you can participate in. If anything, you should just now have a wider pool of players to shoot.

Grab PUBG from Steam, Epic Games, PlayStation, or Xbox.
