Update: Jagex is officially live right now with the OSRS Christmas Parade 2024. This sees the community wander the lands of Gielinor in fancy dress, sharing in the festive spirit together.
You can join the parade itself right now, which, at the time of writing, has the community following a giant duck in a Christmas hat.
Or, if you can’t due to work or other commitments, you can watch the action over on Twitch.
Original post: It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in OSRS, as the 2024 festive event is well underway. There’s a lot going on this year, but the action is primarily taking place in Falador.
Venture on over to the park and you will spot that it’s covered in snow. That alone would be enough to settle most of our Christmas wishes, but you will also find an adorable new quest to complete.

What’s the New Quest?
The long story short is, you have to find homes for a selection of adorable pooches, who find themselves homeless this Christmas.
In total, you will find five stray dogs wandering around Falador Park and you have to hunt down new homes for them. After all, it won’t do if they have to brave the cold during the festive season.

What’s the Reward?
Beat the quest and you can earn a few new cosmetic rewards. These are primarily outfits, and they look just as ridiculous as you’d hope.
These include boots, a scarf, and two different types of hat. One is a full blown dog mask, while the other is a present box. There are even four different colour variations of the latter.
Beating the quest also unlocks all of the previous Christmas event rewards. Simply head to Draynor and speak to Diango to grab them.

Will the Christmas Parade Make a Comeback?
It’s not all new content though. The parade makes a triumphant return, and is this year hosted by the Discord community. It will see all participating OSRSers don yuletide apparel and wander across the lands of Gielinor showing off.
It kicks off in Falador Park on December 16 at 4:00 PM GMT.
The whole event will be livestreamed on Twitch, so if you can’t make it due to work or something annoying like that, make sure to cheekily tune in on your phone and join in the festivities.
