Krafton has begun teasing PUBG‘s next major content drop, update 33.2, and the headline feature seems to be the return of the Loot Truck.

It arrives on January 15 for PC users and 23 for those on the PlayStations and Xboxes. The subtitle is ‘Sanhok Destruction’, which should give you an idea of what to expect from Krafton’s next major content drop.

What’s the Loot Truck?

For those unaware, the Loot Truck was a feature exclusive to the Sanhok map. It saw an AI-driven truck drive around the map, enticing you to damage it to earn loot drops.

Destroy the entire truck and you got a massive cache full of gear and weapons for your entire squad. Up to four can exist on a map at any one time, and another can spawn if you destroy one.

It’s the ultimate risk versus reward feature. Fully destroy a Loot Truck and you and your squad are basically set for the match. However, it makes a lot of noise and you’re vulnerable to an ambush by another team or two.

When Does PUBG Update 33.2 Release?

PUBG Update 33.2 launches on January 15 for PC users and 23 on console. It goes by the subtitle ‘Sanhok Destruction’ and sees the return of the Loot Truck.

You can check out the full teaser trailer that Krafton posted above to get a taste of the Loot Truck in action. Sadly, that’s all that we know for sure about the update.

The title itself does provide a few clues though: the update will likely provide new gameplay features for the Sanhok map, as well as, presumably, a greater focus on destruction mechanics.

Either way, keep a close eye on the official X account to learn more about update 33.2 ahead of its launch later in January.
