The latest Rocket League patch notes are in for version 2.48, and there’s a ton of exciting content on offer. We’ve got the return of 120 FPS support across the Xbox Series range of systems, as well as Xbox replays.
There’s plenty on offer for those on other systems too. Rocket League is following suit with Fortnite and dropping a huge crossover with Hatsune Miku, with a ton of challenges to complete that earn you cosmetics.
We also see the debut of a brand new limited time mode. Split Shot Wall arrives in the Snow Day rotation, bringing a hockey-themed spin to the fun. Let’s take a look at the full patch notes.
Xbox Series X/S Gets 120 FPS and Replays
After a lengthy disappearance, the Xbox Series consoles can finally play Rocket League in 120 FPS again. Psyonix hasn’t gone into details about exactly what went wrong, but the team is going to provide compensation at a later date.
Elsewhere, the bug that caused replays to vanish for certain Xbox users has finally been identified. You should now have no issues saving up replays on Xbox.

Rocket League x Hatsune Miku
Following in the footsteps of Fortnite, Rocket League is holding a crossover with the virtual pop singer, Hatsune Miku.
You have to complete a series of challenges to unlock cosmetics, including Toppers and Player Anthems all themed on Hatsune Miki themself.
If you want to learn more about the crossover, head on over to the official Rocket League website to read the full blog post.
New LTM: Split Shot – Snow Day
In the last of the exciting new features, we get a brand new limited time mode. It’s Split Shot on the Snow Day rotation, providing a brand new touch.
The wall is in play in the middle of the map, but you can’t touch the surface of your opponent’s half. Instead, you have to fly, dodge, or jump your way through it to score.
With a hockey puck. Good luck!
It’s available on the following maps:
- DFH Stadium (Snowy)
- Mannfield (Snowy)
- Utopia Coliseum (Snowy)
