Ability
The Medusa Glove provides you with the’Petrify’ ability. This works much like the mythological creature, in that it turns those unfortunate who are inflicted with it into a stone statue.
Once you activate the ability, a pink heart and eye appears over your head, and a pink progress bar appears at the bottom of your screen.
Once this bar fills, if any character is looking at you, they turn to stone for five seconds. This ends early if they’re slapped though.
Ability | Description | Cooldown |
Petrify | Anyone looking at Medusa when the pink bar fills turns into a stone statue for five seconds (or until slapped) | 17s |
Is it Worth it?
Okay, so we’re a bit torn on this one, as the Petrify ability itself is a bit of a mixed bag. On the one hand, it takes ages to activate, is easy to avoid, and features a long cooldown, meaning you can’t use it often.
But on the other, it’s a good scare tactic that you can use to quickly slap a bunch of enemies. Given that they have to turn the camera away from you to avoid them.
We wouldn’t say it’s one of the best gloves in Slap Battles, but if you like its unique playstyle you may get some mileage out of it.
