Stalcraft: X has released a heartwarming message directed at GSC Game World, the developer and publisher of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2. This is noteworthy as Stalcraft: X itself is something of a tribute to the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series.

Not only that, but the team has released a new cosmetic pack to celebrate the launch, as well as the tenth anniversary of Stalcraft: X.

Why This is Important

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 was originally announced back in 2010, and was all set to release in 2012. Sadly though, GSC Game World shut down the studio before this could happen, due to financial difficulties.

This prompted EXBO, itself fans of the franchise, to create a spiritual successor to the series in its wake. Remember, it also takes place on the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, and sees you desperately trying to survive as you battle mutants and anomalies.

Stalcraft: X as evolved beyoned that since, but the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. DNA remains.

In an incredible development journey, GSC Game World did eventually return, announcing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 shortly afterwards. Almost ten years later, it’s finally launched and that’s by a studio caught in the middle of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Stalcraft: X’s Message to GSC Game World is Touching

Rather than view S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 as competition though, Stalcraft: X has released a heartfelt message to GSC Game World and its players. It almost encourages you to go play the game, as well as expresses how happy EXBO is that it’s finally arrived.

The team has also released a cosmetic set that draws inspiration from S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2. It features the trademark nuclear-denying helmet, and muted coloured outfit.

You can check out the full message below, but we recommend heading into Stalcraft: X to grab the new cosmetic pack. It’s not free to play, but you can also check out S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 on Game Pass right now at no additional cost.

Long ago, the well-known and highly anticipated project was cancelled, which dealt a serious blow to many fans and played a significant role in the emergence of STALCRAFT. Just recently, our creation turned ten years old, and it’s very symbolic that in this very year, at last, they finally made it!

Regardless of the circumstances, our entire team sincerely loves this universe and cannot let this day go unmarked. To commemorate such a significant event, we’ve prepared a cosmetic set capturing the spirit of those campfire gatherings. We are sure that thrilling adventures await all of us in the vast expanses of the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone.

To all the stalkers in the Zone, good luck on your journey!
