Steel Hunters is hosting a new Beta Weekend this weekend, and it’s live right now. It gives you a chance to play the upcoming mech shooter ahead of its official launch, though only for a limited time.

The beta kicked off today, February 20, and will run all the way through to Monday, February 24. During this time, you can participate in a brand new event, Clutch Performance, which sees the community trying to beat a specific goal for an exclusive reward.

Not only that, but a super small Battle Pass with only seven levels is also available during the weekend, offering you a reward you may have missed out on a previous event. That’s enough teasing though, let’s take a look at what to expect from the beta weekend.

Steel Hunters Beta Weekend Details

  • Begins: February 20
  • Ends: February 24

The Steel Hunters Beta Weekend begins on February 20 and is live as of the moment this article went live. It will run through to Monday, February 24, and will give you an opportunity to play the game ahead of its launch hopefully later this year.

Clutch Performance Event

To celebrate the limited beta, the development team is hosting an exclusive event known as ‘Clutch Performance’. It challenges all of the community to come together to earn an exclusive reward.

Here’s a few bullet points on how it works:

  • Play at least five matches of Starfall Harvest to be eligible to win the reward
  • The reward is the ‘Clutch Performance Trenchwalker Skin’
  • To win it, you and the community need to earn points by playing matches and unlocking new Hunters

You can check how much progress the community has made by visiting the event page on the official website.

Ascension Battle Pass

The Ascension Battle Pass is exclusive to this event, and provides you with seven levels to progress through in order to earn exclusive rewards.

This includes the Rising Angel Heartbreaker Skin, which you could previously earn during the World Premiere Playtest. If you couldn’t participate in that, get stuck in this time to earn the reward.
