The latest batch of The First Descendant patch notes are in. While it’s a relatively small update, it does include a powerful few tweaks.
This includes tweaks to explosions, the ability to change field settings while on the battlefield, and a series of bug fixes.
Explosive Objects Are Less Annoying, More Useful
Most notably, all explosive objects will now only explode when you, or another player, shoots them. We can’t count the number of times we’ve accidentally damaged ourselves by meleeing them, or blowing them up with an AoE skill.
Not only that, but explosions now deal considerably less to players, but a little bit more to enemies. So, overall, explosions are going to be a lot less annoying and a heck of a lot more useful.
Tweak Field Settings on the Battlefield
You now no longer have to leave the field to change your settings. Now, while on the battlefield you can tweak privacy settings and difficulty on the fly.
These changes will then take effect when you next visit a camp or outpost, which makes sense.
Lots of Squished Bugs and Descendant Fixes
Rounding out the patch notes are a series of bug fixes that will make your experience a lot more pleasant. This includes fixing the timer UI disappearing during Invasions, and monsters not attacking during Special Operation Albion Resource Defence Fortress.
Over in the Descendants space, area target skills will now function properly even if your target is too far away.
