While you’re all enjoying Throne and Liberty‘s Haunted Harvest event, the hit new MMORPG everyone’s talking about just quietly introduced a new update. This actually makes a bunch of intriguing tweaks, which NCSoft detailed in a series of Throne and Liberty 1.4.0 patch notes.
These include changing the server reset times for all regions, improving dungeon rewards, and providing an easier means with which to gather cooking rewards. This is on top of the usual squished bugs, tweaks, and fixes a patch usually brings.
Let’s take a look at everything you can expect with Throne and Liberty 1.4.0.
New Server Reset Times
Throne and Liberty has changed the server reset time to 6:00 AM UTC in all regions. This affects the following content:
- Quests
- Guild Quests
- Dimensional Contract Tokens
- Merchant sales
- Gate of Infinity
- Weekly Rewards
- Arena
- Seasonal Events
- Battle Pass
- Specials in the Store
- Expiration dates

Better Dungeon Rewards For Random Matchmaking
If you use the random matchmaking option for dungeon queues, you now gain a special reward. That makes sense, given you are kind of doing a nice thing.
These include:
- 1-Star Dimensional Soul Shard Selection Chest – guaranteed drop
- Dimensional Essence: Salvation – chance to drop
You have to beat the final boss and claim the chest to get those rewards.
Cooking Ingredient Changes Are Easier to Acquire
Cooking materials were limited to select monsters, which made acquiring them difficult and time-consuming. To remedy this, Throne and Liberty is making the materials a bit more generic and increasing their availability.
The new names for cooking materials are:
- Bird Meat
- Bland Meat
- Thick Meat
- Chewy Meat

Lots of Gameplay Tweaks
Throne and Liberty has made a number of changes to gameplay mechanics with update 1.4.0, which we’re going to round up below:

- Cooking ingredients can display the recipe that uses them
- You can now see which skills can be charged
- The UI will no longer block your view of the character during customisation
- The Cooperative Dynamic Event reward UI now no longer has a third line
