Throne and Liberty has just outlined its loot distribution rules, highlighting exactly how loot works across all game modes. This will help clarify exactly what you have to do to get that specific loot drop, taking the guesswork out of it.
The team has clarified that loot works differently in Peace Mode Bosses, Guild Raids, and Conflict Mode bosses. All other gameplay modes follow the same format in terms of loot distribution.
Let’s take a look at how it all works.
How Contribution Works in Throne and Liberty
NCSoft began by clarifying exactly how contribution works in its hit MMORPG. Effectively, there are two ways you can contribute towards a kill, and, therefore, get a chance at the loot drop:
- Damage the enemy
- Heal a player damaging the enemy
The latter is a little tricky. You either need to be in a party with the player you heal who kills an enemy to gain contribution, or you need to be participating in a group activity with your guild.

General Activity Loot Distribution Rules
General activities include:
- Open world
- Abyss Dungeons
- Quests
- Contracts
- Dynamic Events
- Co-Op Dungeons
The following loot distribution model applies to all of the above:
- When an enemy dies, the player who first dealt damage to it gets the loot
- If you’re in a group, the loot is assigned to the party
- When in a party, loot has an equal chance to be distributed to all party members
- You need to be in range of your party members to get a chance at loot
- Items are evenly distributed where possible, or a random player will get extra if not
- Sollant and experience is shared evenly

Peace Mode Bosses and Guild Raids Loot Distribution Rules
This includes the following:
- Field Bosses
- Arch Bosses
Here’s how loot is distributed:
- For Field Bosses, loot is distributed via individual contribution
- Overall guild contribution has no effect in these modes
- You need to have a minimum contribution to gain loot
- Contribution drops are distributed on chance depending on your contribution
- Random drops go to all other players – you cannot earn drops from both tables
- Sollant and experience is shared evenly

Conflict Mode Bosses Loot Distribution Rules
This includes the following:
- Field Bosses
- Arch Bosses
Loot is distributed as follows:
- Loot is assigned to the guild with the highest contribution – this is the combined individual contribution of all guild members
- Dying during a boss results in you losing 70% of your contribution, and, therefore, the guild’s contribution
- All participating players within the highest contribution guild have an equal chance to gain an item – it isn’t based on your individual contribution
- Sollant and experience is shared evenly
