Not sure which weapon or class to pick in Throne and Liberty? Well, fear not as that’s exactly what this tier list is here to help with. We’re going to rank all of the weapons from S tier to D tier so you can determine which one to pick and to skip.
It’s worth noting that Throne and Liberty uses a classless system, so you won’t simply pick a Warrior, Mage, or Cleric here. Instead, you can bring two different weapons into combat, which makes up your character’s build. This helps you create a semblance of a class you recognise from a more traditional MMORPG.
For the full list and an idea of play style, check out our Throne and Liberty classes and weapons guide. Or, read on and we’ll break down our tier list into PvE and PvP variants, as the various modes require very different strategies. A weapon that shines in PvP might be a total disaster in PvE, for example.
Throne and Liberty PvE Tier List
These are the best weapons to use in PvE:
Tier | Weapon |
S | Crossbow, Dagger |
A | Long Bow, Staff |
B | Wand and Tome, Greatsword |
C | Sword and Shield |
PvE benefits from weapons that can deal a heck of a lot of damage quickly. The Dagger and Crossbow weapons rule the roost here, and will bring down bosses faster than any other weapons in Throne and Legacy.

In the open world, you might want a weapon that’s exceptional at AoE, which is where the Long Bow and Staff come in. Both of these can take down hordes of weapons in quick succession, making them a solid off-hand to your primary S tier.
The Greatsword is a decent choice, but falls into B tier as it finds itself in an odd space between an offensive and defensive option. It’s a great choice for those that like to play it solo, but is outclassed by others in a group setting.
The Wand and Tome and Sword and Shield are better picks for PvP, providing unexceptional options in PvE.
Throne and Liberty PvP Tier List
We recommend these weapons for PvP.
Tier | Weapon |
S | Wand and Tome, Sword and Shield |
A | Dagger |
B | Staff, Crossbow |
C | Greatsword, Long Bow |
PvP is almost the inverse of PvE, with Wand and Tome and Sword and Shield ruling the roost. That’s due to their extremely defensive natures, which will make you very difficult to take down while still dishing solid damage.

Not only that, but they can really disrupt opponents thanks to a range of debuffs and crowd control abilities, like stuns.
The Dagger is still a strong choice in PvP thanks to its insane single target damage and ability to pop into stealth to sneak up on an opponent, or get out of trouble. The Crossbow struggles a bit though, due to its sheer focus on damage.
A lack of need for AoE damage results in the Greatsword, Long Bow, and Staff struggling in PvP. The Staff at least has a range of CC and buffing/debuffing options to help it avoid C tier though.
