The latest Tower Defense X update has just dropped, and it provides a complete overhaul of Expert Mode. That includes a new tower, power-up, maps, and skincrate.

Not only that, but there are a ton of balancing and quality of life changes for existing towers too. Laser Gunner, XWM Turret, and Golden Ranger have seen the most changes.

Mostly, we’re talking buffs here, too. Of the 17 units that received changes, seven are buffed and five have received a rebalance. That leaves just five getting nerfed.

What’s New to Expert Mode in Tower Defense X

Tower Defense X Balance Changes

Now, let’s look at what’s changed. Spoiler alert: it’s a lot.

First off, you can now max your towers, giving you a huge boost in defensive prowess. The Golden Juggernaut and Golden Ranger also gain Energy Resistance.
