Type Soul has been re-released on Roblox. As you might expect, players have been given a chance to select from four different races but as usual, one must figure out the best build for every race if they want to overcome enemies in the game.
I’m going to walk you through the best build for every single race. No matter what race you want to play, this guide has a build for you.
1. Soul Reaper Build
My personal favorite race and build in the game. As of now, I don’t have Bankai because I rerolled for Snow, but I used to run Blooded Bankai. Here’s the current build:
- Focus: 50 Kido, 15 Speed
- Weapon: Katana or Shard of Reiatsu (Kido weapon is preferred)
Despite all Kido weapons getting nerfed before the game shut down, this build is still very strong, especially in Hell Verse PvE. Shikai preference is up to you, Snow and Blood are both viable. Kido is often underrated because it’s easy to use and very effective.
If you want a PvP-oriented build, I’d recommend going for Kendo instead, it offers more damage control and consistency.

2. Arrancar Build
Arrancar is arguably the weakest race in the current meta, but here’s the most viable build I’ve found:
- Focus: Max Kido, 15 Speed
- Secondary Option: You can go with 5 Speed instead
Fleshed-up Mastery is very worth it here. I currently run Partial Only and only have one move, which isn’t ideal, but the AOE damage from Ceros, especially Tricer, is still excellent. Whether it’s PvE or PvP, if you aim well, you’re nearly guaranteed a hit.
Alternative Build:
- Hakuda Arrancar – Great for close-range combat
But honestly, in Hell Verse, close range can be risky. I’d still recommend Kido Arrancar for the long-range safety.
Not recommended:
- Kendo
- Speed
- Healing (was good pre-rework, currently untested)
3. Fullbringer Build
This is my favorite addition in the latest update, although I haven’t fully explored Hell mode yet due to bugs. Here’s my take:
- Best Style: Kendo
- Second Best: Kido
- Weapon: Zangetsu (Best Fullbring weapon IMO)
Kido doesn’t have enough usable moves, and it drains Reiatsu fast. I tried cheesing the Minami boss with Reishi Spike, but I ran out of Reiatsu too quickly.
Kendo is just superior overall. Bisection is incredibly useful for survivability.
Zangetsu gives you:
- Long-range moves
- Versatile C move (pulls enemies in)
- Good balance between offense and utility
Not Recommended:
- Hakuda (not viable with Fullbringer)
- “Time Tells No Lies” (debuffs can backfire)
- “Book of the End” or “Chess” (decent, but not as good as Zangetsu)
4. Quincy Build
Saving the worst for last, Quincy. I’ll be honest, I haven’t played much on a Quincy slot, but here’s what I’ve gathered from personal experience and community feedback.
- Best Build: 60 Kido, 5 Kendo
- Main Technique: Quincy Kido Build
- Suggested Schrift: Death Dealing (buffs your survivability significantly)
Why not Overkill? It’s decent, but less reliable in Kido builds.
Problem with Quincy: You often get destroyed by Arrancar before you can react. They just pull up and combo you instantly. Still, if you’re determined, this build will give you a fighting chance.
