2025 is making its sluggish start, as we all trudge back to work following an all too decadent festive season. Thankfully, Riot Games is here to make that a little more bearable: by teasing what’s to come in 2025 for Valorant.
That’s in the form of a YouTube video that’s just shy of two and a half minutes. It’s packed to the brim with new content teases though. You might want to watch it numerous times to see what you can spot.
It kicks off with your favourite agents enjoying some unseasonably warm festivities outside. They’re all having a good laugh enjoying a BBQ and some football, before heading to a nightclub.
The New Agent is a Bit of a Looker
The headline feature, though, is the brand new agent that is teased the entire length of the video. For the most part, we see a shadow moving down a corridor, while the video careens between agents shooting at each other and enjoying some outdoor fun.
Eventually though, we do get to see our new hero in all his salt and pepper glory. The agent is a middle-aged man with a moustache and black hair with white patches. He seems to have a sense of style, with a beige jacket matching nicely with some orange shades.
The villainous newcomer then blows up a map that the other Valorant agents have been fighting in. Fortunately, they do seem to survive and start shooting at each other again, with smiles on their faces.
Is That a New Map?
Perhaps that’s a taste of a brand new map to come? While we don’t see much of it, it seems to be set in a warm location, with lots of alcoves to hide in.
The trailer then ends with… quite frankly not enough information. We learn that this is all coming in ‘Season 2025: Act 1’ on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S but not the bit we actually want to know: when.
Keep a close eye on the official Valorant website to learn more as soon as Riot Games is ready to announce it.
