The first question that will probably come into your mind before you jump into Wildgate is how many people can play this game together. Since Wildgate offers a variety of gameplay modes, the maximum player limit depends on which mode you’re playing.
Here is a breakdown of the number of players you will find in each Wildgate mode.
Wildgate Maximum Player Limit for Each Mode
Artifact Hunt
Artifact Hunt is Wildgate’s main game mode where the largest and most thrilling matches take place. The maximum number of players that can be in the same match in this mode is 20 players.
All those 20 players are divided into five crews where each crew consists of four players and each player has its own flying ship. You and your teammates must complete missions, eliminate enemy teams and capture artifacts together.
The winner is normally determined by teamwork. Despite all that action, everything remains focused enough that you never lose track of what your crew needs to do.
Co-Op Mode
Wildgate also has co-op (cooperative) modes in case you are not quite ready to face real players yet, or you simply prefer to play with your friends against the computer. An example is Versus AI, in which you and three other players, that is, a team of 4, can battle against computer-controlled opponents.
These modes are an excellent method of getting to know the game, experimenting with new tactics, or simply not being under pressure to play against other human beings.
Solo
Wildgate fortunately also offers solo mode for lonely gamers out there. The solo mode offers two choices: the tutorial and the shooting range.
The former allows you to figure out how the world functions, and the latter is a place to practice with weapons and polish your shooting skills.
