So we’ve spent time with the game, assessing each of the Benders to determine which element we’d recommend to those just starting. What’s the Best Element in Avatar Realms Collide?
There are actually two best elements in Avatar Realms Collide:
- Air
- Fire
The reason being, both of these elements feature an S tier and an A tier unit within our tier list. That includes:

So, if you absolutely want to decimate your opponents, we’d recommend focusing on characters from these two elements and making synergies where possible.
What’s the Worst Element in Avatar Realms Collide?
Earth and Water are the joint two worst elements in Avatar Realms Collide, for the opposite reason to our best element selections. These elements feature fewer characters in the S and A tier than Fire and Air.
Earth is marginally better than Water, with two characters appearing in B versus just one for Water. However, given the fact that our B tier represents characters we wouldn’t recommend at the endgame, it only has an advantage during the very early phases of the game.
Conclusion
Fire and Air are, right now, the two best elements in Avatar Realms Collide. That’s thanks to the fact that these elements have the best units currently available in the game.
Earth and Water are the worst, due to the opposite: their units generally sit in the B – C tiers.
It’s important to note that the game is in its very early stages, so we will get new characters that will change the meta considerably. That means Water and Earth might eventually claim the title of best element.
Fire and Air do have an advantage in that their best units already appear in the game, while many of the best Earth and Water characters in the universe aren’t currently there.
