Delta Force is finally in open beta, arriving with a huge number of launch events and new additions. One notable feature is missing though: the single player campaign.
Well, the Black Hawk Down single player campaign is coming a lot sooner than you think. In January, in fact, Team Jade and TiMi have now confirmed.
Wait, Black Hawk Down Like the Movie?
It goes by the title Black Hawk Down and yes, it does draw inspiration from the 2001 movie of the same name. In fact, it follows the story of Ridley Scott’s epic.
It’s both a faithful reimagining of that movie, and the classic 2003 entry in the Delta Force franchise. That, itself, had the subtitle: Black Hawk Down.
Is it Single Player or Co-Op?
You can play the Black Hawk Down campaign alone in single player, or in co-op with a friend. It seems that two players is the maximum number, so don’t expect to go in with a full squad.
Given that it’s built in Unreal Engine 5, you can expect it to look suitably impressive, with all of the fancy features like Nanite and Lumen.
Check Out the Teaser Trailer For a Taste of Black Hawk Down in Action
To celebrate the announcement, Delta Force has unleashed a teaser trailer that showcases a few gameplay sequences. It looks suitably tense, with many scenes proving reminiscent of the movie.
That opening shot of the helicopters flying over a bombed city hits pretty hard, and the action definitely amps up towards the end. Expect tense slow sequences combining with shoot outs in a variety of city environments.
The best compliment we can give it is that it reminds us of Call of Duty, which pretty much leads the charge in single player shooting campaigns.
