Marvel Rivals has announced an exciting crossover with Twitch, that will see streamers compete for supremacy in the smash hit new hero shooter.
It all kicks off this weekend, starting January 18 and concluding on 19. There’s fun to be had on both sides, with streamers getting a competition to participate in and viewers getting – surprise, surprise – Twitch Drops!

How Does the Twitch Rivals Event Work?
- Begins: January 18
- Ends: January 19 at 2:00 PM PST
The Twitch Rivals event will see 72 Twitch streamers divided into 12 teams with six players each. These teams are then split into two groups of 6.
Day one is the group stage, which takes the form of a round robin. Teams participate in two matches per round, and are ranked based on their win/loss ratio.
Day two is the bracket stage, which is single elimination aside from round 1, the and all finals. The quarter finals is best of three, while the semifinals and finals are best of five.
What Are the Rewards?
The winning team gets a massive $200,000 prize pool, which is presumably shared equally between all members of the team.
You can get yourself a reward just for watching though. Watch a mere 30 minutes of the event and you can get yourself the ‘Dancing Fortune’ nameplate, which we’ve embedded below so you can get an idea of how it looks.

Marvel Rivals has posted the full event schedule on the official website if you’d like to plan when you’re going to watch it.
Make sure to connect your Marvel Rivals account to Twitch and enable drops to grab the Nameplate reward. Lastly, make sure to watch a participating stream.
