Update: The OSRS Royal Titans polls have closed, and all four questions passed with flying colours. That means:
- The Twinflame Staff will be added as a Royal Titans reward
- Untradeable Prayer Scrolls, Deadeye, and Mystic Vigour are Royal Titans rewards
- Deadeye and Mystic Vigour will replace Eagle Eye and Mystic Might respectively once unlocked
- There’s a new prayer, Chivalry, unlocked via the Holy Grail
- The Holy Grail now rewards XP lamps
- Dessicated Pages are now a reward from Royal Titans while Burnt or Soaked pages will no longer drop
The only change that came close to not passing with flying colours is the Chivalry prayer, which only picked up 65% of the votes. Everything else was over 80%.
The Royal Titans changes will arrive in OSRS in 2025. Read our full story below to learn more about what to expect from the Royal Titans update.
Update: OSRS has officially opened polls for the upcoming Royal Titans boss encounter. Specifically, Jagex wants to know about your thoughts towards the proposed rewards.
You have until Monday, November 25 to have your say in-game. Scroll to the original story to read the full proposed update.
Original Story: Jagex has just announced an upcoming new dual-boss encounter coming soon to OSRS, Royal Titans. It’s for members only, and it challenges you to fight two giant bosses at once in exchange for a bunch of exciting new rewards.
The Royal Titans, Brandr and Eldric, have a Game of Thrones-style fire and ice theme. Brandr makes her home in Karamja Volcano, while Eldric prefers the ice cold of the Asgarnian Ice Dungeon.
The idea is that you fight them as a duo for the maximum challenge, but the brave can take them on solo. Or, if you’re not so brave, you can tackle them as a group.
Let’s take a look at the new encounter, and its rewards, in greater detail.

Royal Titans Boss Mechanics
Here’s everything you need to know at a glance:
- It’s designed for duos but you can tackle it solo or as a group
- Solo players will miss out on a drop
- Only the top two players in a group get rewards
- Designed for Combat Levels 90 – 110
- Gear switching is necessary
- Killing one buffs the other
So, you want to take on the Royal Titans, Brandr and Eldric? Well, you might want to understand the mechanics of the encounter first.
You fight both giant bosses at once in a small arena. Both Brandr and Eldric are weak to melee, so when you’re attacking them, switch to melee.
The arena will constantly change, requiring you to move around a lot to stay alive. This will likely require a gear change, as you’ll need to use your ranged weapon to keep the damage flowing.
You’ll also occasionally have to deal with additional mobs as well, which will see you switch to magic to take advantage of their elemental weaknesses.
The mechanic you need to pay attention to the most is managing the health bar of both giants. Ideally, you want to kill them both as close to the same time as possible. When you bring down one boss, the other gets a considerable buff in power that can wipe you out.

Rewards
Here are the rewards you can earn at a glance:
- Twinflame Staff
- Mystic Vigour
- Deadeye
- Dessicated Pages
- Pet
Take down Brandr and Eldric and you can earn a selection of brand new rewards, including a staff, prayer pages, and dessicated pages.
Twinflame Staff
The Twinflame Staff is an incredibly useful magic weapon that will automatically cast a spell based on your opponent’s weakness, provided you’ve learned it and have enough Runes.
The staff has a slower attack speed, but also fires off two spells at once. The second doesn’t use Runes but only deals 40% of your maximum magic damage.
Jagex places the Twinflame Staff between Trident of the Swamp and Harmonised Nightmare Staff in terms of DPS, so you may want to use it up to around Magic Level 81.
What we like most about this staff is that you have to collect both parts of it to construct it, and each boss drops a single part. So it gives you a good reason to keep repeating the encounter.
Mystic Vigour and Deadeye
Mystic Vigour is a brand new prayer scroll that sits between Mystic Might and Augury in terms of power, providing you with a nice mid-game option for boosting your magic ability.
Deadeye is a similar option for ranged. Both of them override the previous Prayer spells, so you don’t have to choose between them, and cost the same amount of Prayer points while active.
Desiccated Pages
You can forgo the above rewards in exchange for Dessicated Pages, which you can exchange at a Pyromancer or the Rewards Pool at Tempoross for Burnt or Soaked Pages.
The thinking behind this is that Jagex wanted to provide a reliable drop source for these from combat. You will get about 8-12 each time you loot them.
