Niantic has announced that Pokémon Go Max Mondays will kick off on November 11, providing a reliable method of catching the Dynamax Pokémon that you want.
Here’s everything you need to know at a glance:
- What: Max Mondays
- How it Works: A set Dynamax Pokémon takes over all Max Battles
- When: November 11 at 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM local time
- Recurring: Every subsequent Monday

How do Pokémon Go Max Battles Work?
How it will work is, each Monday at 6:00 PM local time a set Dynamax Pokémon will take over every single Max Battle at Power Spots. This not only gives you a better chance of completing the set, but you can almost guarantee getting the Pokémon you want.
So far, Niantic has revealed the first four Dynamax Pokémon that will appear in Max Mondays. These include:
- Dynamax Charmander: November 11
- Dynamax Drilbur: November 18
- Dynamax Bulbasaur: November 25
- Dynamax Squirtle: December 2
Dynamax Pokémon will take over the Max Battles until 7:00 PM, giving you a full hour to take them down and, hopefully catch them.

Pokémon Go Campfires Make it Easier to Find a Group
Niantic has introduced Campfires to make it easier to find Trainers who can help you in battle. Simply tap on the green icon underneath your compass to view nearby meet-ups, including Max Battles and Flare activity.
You can then join a group with ease.
What Are Max Battles?
Max Battles are a new feature in Pokémon Go that challenge you and the rest of your local community to take down a Dynamax Pokémon. This is basically a much bigger and much stronger version than you can catch in the world.
The current list of Dynamax Pokémon include:
- Charmander
- Bulbasaur
- Drilbur
- Squirtle
- Gastly
Dynamax Pokémon can evolve, so expect to see all variants of the above in Max Battles.
