Want to know when crossplay is coming to Rematch? The absence of crossplay, or the possibility to connect PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S players to form a team, was a disappointment for many during the launch.
As a result, the fans were not happy because crossplay was promised at launch. Thankfully, the game developers have finally responded to one of the most burning questions: When is crossplay coming to Rematch?
When Is Crossplay Coming To Rematch?

Sloclap has said that implementing crossplay in Rematch is their number one priority along with fixing the bugs but no specific release date has yet been mentioned.
They wrote in a blog post, dated June 19, that Rematch is the first game with crossplay they have ever tried to do, and unexpectedly, it was hindered by technical complexities. They have a primitive version ready, but it requires the polishing of interfaces, debugging and console certifications which will take time.
They said a “clearer deadline will be announced soon”, with websites such as Pure Xbox claiming that it will probably be “a matter of weeks and not days”, yet nothing is official.
Missing crossplay has been damaging, particularly on a game that is highly based on team divisions, where 5v5 tournaments require a good number of players.
Reddit and X players have complained of lengthy queues to play 5v5 and lack of the ability to play with friends on other platforms such as Steam and Game Pass PC. The frustration was further augmented by a last-minute announcement of Sloclap, a matter of hours in advance of early access on June 16, in which crossplay was not compatible yet.
Why Rematch Still Doesn’t Support Crossplay?
Crossplay is one of the complicated features to incorporate in any online multiplayer game. This is because it requires perfectly synced servers between platforms and adherence to the Sony, Microsoft, and Steam policies.
It had turned out that the Rematch team is small, new to this feature, and therefore underestimated the task. Therefore, there’s no support for crossplay yet.
Nevertheless, the game is very popular now, as 93 000 simultaneous players logged on to Steam at release, and crossplay between platforms seems highly demanded to bridge the gap.
