RuneScape will soon host a new double XP (DXP) event that will give you a whopping 48 hours over 10 days to quickly boost your skilling leels.

The best part? You can choose when the double XP bonus is active. You simply get 48 hours worth of the boost over the course of the event, and you can turn it off when you’re traveling, questing, or participating in non-XP activities.

When Does the DXP Event Kick Off?

  • Begins: November 15
  • Ends: November 25

RuneScape’s double XP event kicks off on November 15 and runs all the way through to November 25. It begins and ends at 12:00 PM server time.

How Does the Double XP Event Work?

  • Members: +100% XP
  • Free to Players: +20% XP

During the event, you have 48 hours worth of Double XP that you can toggle on and off at any moment. This allows you to perform other activities without worrying about wasting XP.

It’s also worth noting that the double XP only applies to Members. If you play for free, you only get +20%.

Does Double XP Apply to Everything?

Double XP also only applies to skilling activities. You won’t get any extra XP from the following activities or systems:

  • Assists
  • XP lamps
  • Tomes of Experience
  • Ectofuntus
  • Cremation
  • Dragon Rider Amulets
  • Auto-Sanctifiers
  • Brawling Gloves
  • House Altars
  • Wilderness Chaos Altars
  • Dungeoneering Wildcards
  • Sacred Clay
  • Urns
  • Ancient Effigies
  • Quests
  • Daily Challenges
  • Jade Vine
  • Strange and Golden Rocks
  • Other Distractions and Diversions
  • Harvesting Animal Produce
  • Slayer Point Rewards
  • Brimhaven Agility Arena Tickets
  • Dungeoneering Tokens

Stored Bonus XP is not boosted further, but you still get it alongside double XP.

You also won’t get any additional XP if you’re an Ironman account. But you probably like it that way, don’t you?

What About Archaeology and Invention?

These two skills actually have slightly different benefits, as XP functions slightly differently.

  • You get double Base Precision and Excavation and Screening XP from Archaeology
  • Restoring artifacts, tomes, research, mysteries, and pylons doesn’t provide double XP
  • Invention item XP, making items, and disassembling random items is increased by 50%, rather than 100%
  • Disassembling and siphoning equipment doesn’t provide extra XP

DXP Bundles

RuneScape is also providing double XP bundles that you can purchase to get a ton of items that will help you with skilling.

You can only purchase each Bundle once, and they cost 1 Bond. Ironman accounts can’t purchase Bundles though.
