The latest Genshin Impact event, Chromatic Ode of Candies and Roses, features three new gameplay modes. One of them will look very familiar to any of you who played a mobile game about ten years ago: it’s a Subway Surfers-style endless runner.

It’s called Rocking Carriage and it rewards you with Primogems and a variety of other rewards. We also get Interreflection of Reality and Dreams, which plays like a hidden object adventure. Rounding it up is Shadow of the Knight’s Blade, a combat arena.

This is the latest Genshin Impact event since last week’s Reminiscent Regimen. This provided you with a variety of rewards for participating in battles against tough opponents.

Genshin Impact Chromatic Ode of Candies and Roses Event Details

Before we introduce the various modes in more detail, here’s what you need to know about the Chromatic Ode of Candies and Roses event:

  • Begins: October 23
  • Ends: November 7
  • Eligibility: Adventure Rank 20+
  • Participation Requirements: Complete Archon Quest Prologue: Act III “Song of the Dragon and Freedom”
  • Rewards: “Golden Vow” Candace (Hydro) / Outdoor Furnishing “Sorry to Keep You Waiting, Dear Archon” / Primogems / Crown of Insight

Rocking Carriage is Basically an Endless Runner

Rocking Carriage is giving us flashbacks to the days where we did nothing but play Subway Surfers or Temple Run.

You have to control a carriage that moves automatically across a bridge. Along the way, you will encounter urns and other obstacles, which you have to avoid to keep playing.

Occasionally, you will spot flowers along your path. Make sure to collect these, as that’s the whole point of this mode. You can also pick up the following buffs:

  • Clustered Blessing: Automatically collect nearby flowers
  • Blooming Boon: Gain bonus points for picking up flowers
  • Buttressing Blessing: Gain immunity to collisions

You have four HP points and lose one each time you hit an obstacle. Lose all four and it’s game over.

Hidden Object Puzzler, Interreflection of Reality and Dreams

Genshin Impact draws inspiration from yet another popular mobile genre with Interreflection of Reality and Dreams. This time around, it’s the hidden object puzzler.

You, as some kind of amateur psychologist, have to venture into your patient’s dreams in order to cure what ails them. Within their minds, you can discuss what is bothering them and then have to go and find objects that represent it and remove them.

These are known as anomalies, and you only have a certain amount of time to discover all of them, remove them, and gain the maximum rewards.

Shadow of the Knight’s Blade is a More Traditional Arena Mode

Shadow of the Knight’s Blade challenges you to defeat a variety of enemies in specific ways to get a high score. Much like in the previous mode, you’re timed, so you have to make sure to follow the steps to get the highest score.
