Your favourite shooter is getting in on the Halloween event, it seems, if the latest The Finals patch notes are to be believed. Known as ‘Holtow Classic’, week six of the latest World Tour gets a spooky makeover.

Well, in particular, four arenas are getting a Halloween makeover. They look absolutely fantastic, with dark skies, fancy lights, and pumpkins everywhere. Did we mention those pumpkins have spooky glowing eyes?

Let’s take a look at the full patch notes so you know exactly what to expect.

Holtow Classic – Week 6: Trick or Treat

The latest The Finals World Tour weekly event, which is at week 6 at this point, goes by the name of Trick or Treat. It provides a spooky makeover for the following maps:

  • Kyoto
  • Horizon
  • Monaco
  • Seoul

You can get a taste of what they look like in the video linked above, but don’t expect to see daylight. Do, though, expect to see pumpkins everywhere.

Not only are they spooky, thanks to their glowing eyes, but they also explode on impact. This provides a meaningful gameplay benefit to those who pay attention, as you can use this to devastate your opponents.

Update 4.5.0 Patch Notes

The previous The Finals update arrived on October 30, introducing the Halloween event in full. This includes a Treat Hunt collection event, rewards, and more.

These rewards come courtesy of a brand new Reward Wheel, which you spin to grab the spooky rewards. You need a ticket to spin the wheel, and you can get up to three per day by completing daily contracts.

Or, you can just grab them from the store for VR or Multibucks. It’s up to you how you choose to have fun.

Either way, once you collect all of the rewards, you can grab the best one of them all: the Stealth Specter Bundle. That lets you dress up in a funky Halloween costume as you take down opponents.

You’ve got two weeks to spin the wheel and grab the rewards.

Balance Changes

The Finals is keeping balance changes quite trim this update, with only two weapons getting adjustments. That includes the Model 1887 and XP-54, with the former getting a nerf and the latter a buff.

Here’s how it’s broken down:

  • Model 1887
    • Increased inner pellet radius from 0.45 to 0.65
    • Increased outer pellet radius from 1.3 to 1.7
    • Decreased damage falloff multiplier from 65% to 60%

These changes basically make the Model 1887 deal less damage from range, but it should remain just as powerful at close quarters.

  • XP-54
    • Increased damage falloff start distance from 15m to 20m
    • Increased damage falloff end distance from 25m to 30m
    • Decreased damage falloff multiplier from 65% to 62%

This is the inverse of the Model 1887 changes, as the XP-54 should now perform better at range.
