Jagex has patched up the new Gate of Elidinis event in RuneScape, fixing up a bunch of issues, making it easier for Ironman players, and more. We also learn more about the week’s events, including the Treasure Hunter calendar, streaming events, and what the community is up to.
Starting with Gate of Elidinis, the patch notes are pretty vast. Aside from the expected squished bugs and crashes, the highlights include allowing Ironman players to collect resources from defeated players, changing Vengeance’s equipment back to Marmaros Armour and Fractite Sword and Shield, and allowing you to obtain golden rocks while the Spirit Weaver relic power is active.
You can read the full patch notes in the blog post on the official RuneScape website. In terms of the week ahead, the Gemfall event returns, providing those that open chests with a wealth of additional prizes. It kicks off on October 3 and ends on October 7.

What’s the Community up to?
In the community space, Princess Rae is hosting a Town Square Q&A event on October 5 at 23:00 in-game time. Spotleewolf and Nexaodmass are hosting a God Wars Dungeon – Ancient Prison run through in World 92 at 19:00 on Sunday, October 6.
Rounding up the community events is a Helwyr event at Heart of Gielinor – Seren Lobby, world 35. This takes place on October 1 at 17:00 in-game time.
Last week, Jagex introduced the Gates of Elidinis event, which tasked you with defeating a new skilling boss in exchange for a wealth of rewards. Several of these are only available for a limited time, so you might want to defeat the boss as quickly as you can.

What if I Prefer OSRS?
If you’re a fan of the older school variant, OSRS received a map update with a massive new boss of its own. This is courtesy of the Varlamore update, which challenges you to defeat Hueycoatl, a terrifying serpent that requires several different stages to defeat. Click on the link on its name for our full guide.
Elsewhere in Varlamore, you could participate in a new agility course, take on the new Alchemy activity Mixology, and tackle a variety of new quests. Learn more about it by clicking on the word ‘Varlamore’ in our previous paragraph.
You can grab RuneScape on Steam, the App Store, or Google Play.
